The applicant requests authorization to dredge, via hydraulic
dredging, approximately 262 cubic yards (CY) of material to a depth of approximately
23.5-feet (ft) below the plane of mean low water over an area of 1816.4 square feet in
front of the intake tunnels. The material will be pumped into a lined container with a filter
dam and a triple box filter attached to a vacuum pump for dewatering. The water will be
pumped back into the waterway and the dredged material will be disposed of at a state
approved upland site.
The applicant anticipates three (3) additional dredging events over the ten-year period.
Removing approximately 300 CY per event from within the same area with the same
dewatering process.
