The applicant is requesting a DA permit to demolish the
Hunters Point South ferry landing consisting of an eight-foot-wide by 48-foot-long
gangway leading to a 20-foot-wide by 24-foot-long floating dock anchored to the
seafloor by six (6), 16-inch diameter steel pipe piles will be removed entirely.
Construct a new ferry landing consisting of a 40-foot-wide by 26-foot-long precast
concrete platform supported by eight (8) 16-inch diameter steel pipe piles filled with
concrete. Extending waterward from the platform, two (2) eight-foot-wide by 70-foot-long
gangways leading to an approximately 90-foot-wide by 35-foot-long barge secured by
six (6) 36-inch diameter steel pipe piles. Two (2) 36-inch diameter monopile with a 72-
inch floating donut fender will also be installed. Additionally, extending south from the
pre-cast concrete platform, an eight-foot-wide by 76-foot-long platform extension will be
installed along the deck. Eight (8) Shibata fenders will be installed along the terminal
walkway.
