New York District's military construction program provides design, construction and real estate support to the Army, Army Reserve and Army Recruiting facilities. In addition, we provide design and construction support to U.S. Space Force bases including overseas in Greenland. Our program is growing to keep pace with the biggest organizational change of the Army since World War II. The Army is changing from a force that was prepared to take on one or two potential wars at one time to one that is expeditionary in nature and can deploy continuously to different parts of the world. This change requires that troops be relocated and that they be provided with infrastructure to house them, train them and provide their families with the quality of life they deserve. Fort Drum, New York is the home of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), its supporting elements, and several tenant units. The division's mission includes commanding active component units assigned to the installation, providing administrative and logistical support to tenant units, supporting tenant, active and reserve units from all services in training at Fort Drum, and planning and supporting the mobilization and training of almost 80,000 troops annually.

Fort Hamilton is located in the New York City borough of Brooklyn surrounded by the communities of Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights. Its mission is to provide the New York metropolitan area with military installation support for the Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve. Tenant commands include the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) and Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division.

Joint Base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst is the nation's only tri-service joint base. Active-duty, reserve and guard service members from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard ensure total force integration by training, supporting and sustaining installation and global contingency operations.

Picatinny Arsenal is the Joint Center of Excellence for Armaments and Munitions, providing products and services to all branches of the U.S. military. Nestled in the northern New Jersey Skylands region, the installation specializes in the research, development, acquisition and lifecycle management of advanced conventional weapon systems and advanced ammunition. Picatinny's portfolio comprises nearly 90 percent of the Army's lethality and all conventional ammunition for joint warfighters.

Pituffik Space Base is the U.S. Armed Forces' northernmost installation, located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Pituffik Space Base is home to the 21st Space Wing's global network of sensors providing missile warning, space surveillance and space control to North American Aerospace Defense Command and Air Force Space Command. Pituffik Space Base is also home to the 821st Air Base Group and is responsible for air base support within the area.

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, located on Long Island in Kings Point, New York, is a federal service academy that educates students who serve the national security, marine transportation, and economic needs of the United States as licensed Merchant Marine Officers and commissioned officers in the Armed Forces.
