• Continuing the Mission: A History of the New York District from 1975-2005 (~180MB pdf book) - This history book is about New York District's missions and activities from 1975-2005, a time period that includes military construction booms in the region, increases in the Corps' environmental missions as well as the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Please note this is an entire book and the file is large and is approximately 180MB.
• The Conquest of Hell Gate (<1MB pdf article) - Learn about the Corps of Engineers role in improving East River navigation and what was at the time the largest ever manmade explosion in history
