About West Point ICRMP

The U.S. Army Garrison, West Point has prepared an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Implementation of the Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP), 2024-2028. The proposed action is to fully implement the ICRMP, including a broad set of protocols to ensure compliance with any Federal and Army regulations. The primary parts of West Point’s ICRMP are: 1.) Maintenance and Administration of the 2016 Operation, Maintenance, and Development Programmatic Agreement with the New York Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. 2.) Maintenance and Implementation of other agreement documents and mitigations. 3.) Upgrading the Archaeological curation facility and completing artifact inventory. 4.) Continuing historic property evaluations and monitoring. The EA assessed three alternatives: the Proposed Action, Partial implementation, and No Action Alternative.
