New York District Area of Responsibility

The New York District manages both military construction and civil works missions.

The Military Construction mission covers work in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and overseas for Army and Air Force facilities.

New York District's Civil Works mission includes navigation and water resource activities in the watershed areas of Lake Champlain, the Hudson River, New York and New Jersey, western Vermont and small portions of Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The New York District's Regulatory jurisdiction matches the Civil Works borders in New Jersey, but varies from the Civil Works and Military Construction boundaries in New York State. For more detailed information on Regulatory boundaries, see the Regulatory Program page.
