Monmouth Beach Renourishment (NJ)
A representative from the state of New Jersey (c) looks into a special discharge basket designed to filter any larger objects out of sand being pumped onto the beach during beach renourishment work at Monmouth Beach on Dec. 2, 2011. Resident Engineer Paul Jalowski (l) and Coastal Engineer Donald Cresitello (r), both with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, prepare to also look inside the basket to see what, if anything, ended up in it during the most recent pump out.
