Sandy-Related USACE Reports to Congress

The Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013, commonly referred to as the Sandy Aid Bill or PL113-2, calls for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to issue specific reports to Congress. Below you can find more information about each of them as they are released and download full copies of the reports.

The second interim report was issued in May 2013:

The report identifies Corps of Engineers projects that are eligible for Sandy Aid bill funding through supplemental funds from that bill. The report does not represent an exhaustive list of projects, meaning inclusion on this list does not necessarily mean they will be funded and not being included does not mean that they are excluded from funding.

As the report was developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and involves more than just New York District's area of operations, any queries regarding the report's contents should be directed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters Public Affairs Office at either 202-761-7690 or 202-761-0010.

Specific questions about New York District projects should be addressed to the district Public Affairs Office at 917-790-8007.

As per page 5 of the report, "the inclusion of a project ... does not mean that the Corps will fund such project with funds provided in the Act, nor are the projects included in this report representative of an exhaustive list of all projects that are under consideration for funding."

New York District expects Implementation Guidance from USACE Headquarters that will provide guidance as to what projects and/or studies will be funded and at what cost-sharing levels.
