The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, employs world-class professionals that provide planning, engineering, design and construction support for the district's mission areas.
The contracting division provides acquisition and contract administration services as required for construction, architect/engineer, service, and supply contract requirements in support of assigned missions for the New York District and its regional and national customers.
Engineering and Construction
The engineering and construction division provides study, design, and construction engineering services for civil works water resource projects, including navigation, flood risk management, environmental stewardship, dam safety, recreation and emergency response.

Civilian Personnel Advisory Center
The civilian personnel advisory center develops human resource policy, including strategies for recruitment, placement, selection, training, classification, position management, employee benefits, and union relations.
The internal review office assists the commander in the review and analysis of processes, ensuring that the New York District operates as efficiently as possible and is in compliance with internal and external procedures, regulations and guidance. Each September, the internal review officer completes the review plan for the following fiscal year.
The logistics management office provides supplies, property accountability, maintenance and transportation services, and facilities as required to successfully support the district's missions.
Office of Counsel
The office of counsel provides accurate, clear, responsive, and timely legal advice and services to the commander and staff of the New York District to support the district’s missions.
The public affairs office is the initial contact for the media for information about the New York District and its programs, policies, operations and activities. The public affairs office manages the district’s public information, command information and community outreach programs.
The real estate division coordinates all real estate actions for the New York District and advises the district commander all on all real estate matters. They provide real estate information, products, and services for the acquisition, management, and disposal of lands and facilities under its jurisdiction for the nation.
The regulatory division protects the nation's aquatic resources, while allowing reasonable development through fair, flexible and balanced permit decisions. USACE evaluates permit applications for essentially all construction activities that occur in our nation's waters, including wetlands. The USACE regulatory program includes Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The New York District's regulatory jurisdiction covers the states of New York and New Jersey.
The resource management office provides financial analysis, records, information, resources, and reference material to support district missions.
Safety & Occupational Health
The safety and occupational health office office provides safety services and safety program management to ensure that the district provides a safe and healthy environment for its employees, contractors, and the public.
Security & Law Enforcement
The security and law enforcement office strives to establish and maintain a secure district work environment that protects all employees and district resources, using an adaptive security response that anticipates changes in threat levels and balances risks with mission requirements.
The small business office helps small businesses maximize their opportunities to participate in procurements, thereby ensuring a broad base of capable suppliers to support the district's mission and strengthen the nation’s economic development.
