U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Announces Release of Draft Integrated Interim Response Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment for Actionable Elements, for the New York-New Jersey Harbor and Tributaries Study (NYNJHAT Study)

NEW YORK – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New York District announces the public release of a Draft Integrated Interim Response Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment for Actionable Elements (Draft Report), for the New York-New Jersey Harbor and Tributaries coastal storm risk management feasibility study (NYNJHAT Study). The report details a plan for Actionable Elements that could provide near-term localized actions in the study area.

The release of the Draft Report opens a public comment period starting on July 24, 2025, and ending August 25, 2025. Comments can be submitted via email, letter, or in person to:

The USACE New York District will host public meetings this summer in coordination with the Draft Report public comment period. Information regarding future public meetings and engagement opportunities will be posted on the study website and shared via this listserv.
