Army Corps announces availability of the Joseph G. Minish Passaic River Waterfront Park and Historic Area, Phase I Hurricane Sandy Limited Reevaluation Report and Draft Environmental Assessment

NEW YORK – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, is pleased to announce the release of the Joseph G. Minish Passaic River Waterfront Park and Historic Area, Phase I- Draft Hurricane Sandy Limited Reevaluation Report and Draft Environmental Assessment and the opening of the public comment period on those documents. The public review and comment period is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2015 and end October 1, 2015.

With the passage of the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013, the Army Corps has been given the authority and funding to complete ongoing coastal storm damage risk management projects and studies in the Northeast, including the Joseph G. Minish Passaic River Waterfront Park and Historic Area, Phase I- Draft Hurricane Sandy Limited Reevaluation Report and Environmental Assessment (HSLRR and EA). The draft HSLRR/EA and associated documents are available on the New York District’s web site at:
