    Army Corps engages students and promote STEM Careers

    For most New York City high school students, General Election Day is a day off and a time to take part in other activities. One group of 60 students from various schools in Manhattan used their time wisely on November 7th to learn more about careers in engineering and the sciences and attended the ‘Sixth Annual STEM Matters NYC Career Day’ offered at the New York District.

    USACE New York District Participates in Estuary Day

    New York District Participated in Estuary Day in 2015 in Elizabeth, N.J. Area students and educators from 14 different schools participated. Orchestrated by Future City Inc., and sponsored by the Elizabeth River/Arthur Kill Watershed Association, the event’s success was attributed to a concerted effort and steadfast partnership with strong local support.

    Army Corps participates in STEM Education at New Jersey High School

    As part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District's commitment in increasing awareness and inspiring students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, New York district volunteers interacted with students from the Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Academy and from Dwyer High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
