The New York District, Corps of Engineers has received a permit application from the New Jersey Transit Corp., to discharge fill into waters of the United States to facilitate the expansion of an existing parking area and raise the base elevation of the substation to a level protected from future flood damage. The project site is located within the Hackensack River watershed, in the Town of Kearny, Hudson County, New Jersey.
