The applicant, Suffolk County Department of Public Works, has requested Department of the Army (DA) authorization to conduct dredging, with ten-years maintenance with placement of all resultant dredged material at designated beach placement areas. The project is located at Hawks Creek, a tributary of Flanders Bay in South Jamesport, Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York.
