The applicant, United States Coast Guard, has requested Department of the Army (DA) authorization to conduct dredging, with ten-years maintenance with placement of all resultant dredged material at an approved upland disposal facility. The project is located at United States Coast Guard Station Jones Beach and its entrance channel in Jones Bay in the Village of Freeport, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.
