The New York District, Corps of Engineers received a permit application from the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSEG), requesting authorization to discharge fill into tidal waters of the United States to facilitate the relocation of an existing oil pump plant as part of the Bergen Switching Station Phase 3 Spare Transformer Installation and Oil Pump Plant Movement project. The proposed project would take place within the existing PSEG Bergen Switching Station, within Bellman’s Creek, a tidal tributary of the Hackensack River, in the Borough of Ridgefield, Bergen County, New Jersey.
