Army Corps awards $4.6 million contract for the maintenance dredging of East Rockaway Inlet, New York federal navigation channel

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has awarded a contract for $4.6 million to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company of Oak Brook, Ill., for the maintenance dredging of the East Rockaway Inlet federal navigation channel with the dredged sand being placed along eroded areas of Rockaway Beach.

Army Corps awards $3.9 million contract for maintenance dredging of Jamaica Bay Federal Navigation Channel at Rockaway Inlet

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has awarded a contract for $3.9 million to Cashman Dredging and Marine Contracting Company of Quincy, Mass., for the maintenance dredging of the Jamaica Bay Federal Channel at Rockaway Inlet.

Col. Paul Owen takes command of New York Engineer District

Colonel Paul Owen assumed command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, during a formal change of command ceremony on September 14, 2012. Colonel John R. Boulé, who commanded the district since July 2009, relinquished command during the event in the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House.
